I was recently talking to a friend who lives in a small town in Texas that was telling how this Mayor in their town is helping people wrongly convicted get out of prison which is great however if you have been in prison for a significant amount of time can you adjust to the world as we know it today I mean technology changes daily and if you have been in jail before they even invented the computer,cellphone,Ipod,mp3 and all that other stuff some of which I still don't know how to work and don't care to but I mean you are simply lost and due to the overwelmn you may do something stupid and end up back in the slammer so the powers that be need to have real programs that help people adjust not just some food stamps and directions to a temp agency that won't hire you anyway because you are a felon

Where I live they do have programs that help you get a job when you get out. They go to a halfway house for six months so they can learn to ajust to the outside world. They have places that hires just felons.I do not think all people who are felons are bad. Sometimes it's wrong judgement a mistake you learn from. There are some people who needed to be locked up that never learn. people judge so fast.

I believe its their own fault who get sent to jail. There is always some reason you are sent there, I don't think none is absolutely innocent. Either you hang with someone who has done crimes, and you know it, or some other reason. The ones who commit crimes deserve to be punished, not by torture, but by jail. I know if you have committed a crime its easy to commit another one, thats why I believe the ones who have been in jail for a long time, should get someone to watch them, keep an eye out for a while, or get some teaching done. Group therapy or something like that. That might help, most inmates don't like it probably.
