What's the extra in Pibb xtra?

They used to call it Mr. Pibb, but in recent years, they changed the name to Pibb Xtra. Did they slightly change the formula? What's the extra part in it? Was there an actual person named Mr. Pibb that got upset with it being called Mr. Pibb? Is he ok with it being called Pibb xtra? So many questions.....
