My mum came up the other month and we did some baking together, she gave me the recipe to make chocolate cake so I made one on Saturday. It was nearly a disaster, just as I went to put the cake in the oven I realised that I forgotten to put the eggs and baking powder in it!! So that got scrapped and I started all over again adding the eggs and baking powder. Once it had cooled, I put some chocolate icing on it. Cut it in half so that I could freeze some of it for when my mum comes this Saturday. I gave some to my boyfriends dad and brother (my guinea pigs hahaha). His brother now wants me to make him a full cake!! He loves his chocolate cake and can eat a full cake topped with cream. Whats your favourite thing to cook, be it starter, main course or pudding??? Do you enjoy cooking??

Hi cinderella. Fine that you could do another in the right way. When we cook we need to put all the things we will need next to the bowl to avoid forget something. I love to cook. anything. I like to make desserts too and I make cakes very well and decorate it too. I like to make pudding and paves and pies and mousses. I really love to cook.

Good for you at least you remembered what you forgot before you put the first one in the oven. So that means that the second one came out really good. Perfect!!! I not much of a cooker but if I had to there are somethings that I might not be able to do. I have always wanted to learn how to cook homemade bread. But have not tried it yet. Maybe one of these days. Have a good one.

Ive not tasted it yet myself but think it has gone down well with my boyfriends brother as he has now asked for a full size cake just for himself and believe me, he can and will eat it all in one go!! I was thinking about adding chocolate chip bits in it next time!! Thanks for your comment x

That picture of that cake looks really yummy. Wish I was taking a bite right now. But I'm sure yours was prettiers. I really don't do much cooking. My mothe does most of the cooking and she's a baker too. But I want to try and get into baking too so that I could learn so that I could make it for myself and just eat it all up. But the one time that I did make cookies they weren't that good.

My cake was abit boring, it is a sponge cake with icing on the top. Im thinking of adding chocolate chip bits in next time. If only I could make a cake like that picture, I would be beaming from ear to ear. I dont do alot of cooking and when I do, I prefer the simple things so was chuffed when my mum and I did baking together, it was nice also as I dont see her that often so was nice doing stuff with her!!! Thanks for your post x

I love chocolate anything! One trick to making sure you don't forget ingredients is to go through your recipe and make sure you put all the ingredients out on your counter. As you use them, put them to the other side or put them completely away. You'll easily be able to tell if you've used everything or not. I don't do a lot of baking, but I'm doing more now that I'm with my husband. I bake brownies occasionally, and our favorite is pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I just made a batch yesterday - yum!

I love to bake! Lately I have been making alot of desserts though, from cake to homemade ice cream. I mad a flourless chocolate cake that has a rich brownie type texture (not the mousse like type) and cookies n' cream ice cream a week ago. I gave my dad's friend a few slices and they got gobbled up qucikly he told me! I made mini caramel macchiato cheesecakes yesterday cause we had a BBQ so that was dessert. It was delicious with some semi sweet chocolate glaze topping it off too and I am in the mood for Irish sweet bread for breakfast tomorrow so I am going to bake one tonight. I remember the first time I made cookies and took it into my old workplace, my co-workers exclaimed that they would put together cash and open a bakery for me. I do admit I would love to cater cakes, brownies, cookies, pastries and ice creams for people in the future.
