Do you have any knowledge about low BP. Doctors say it is more dangerous than high BP. Recovering from Low bloodpressure is very hard and difficult.

You hear so much about High Blood pressure, I have it myself but you hardly ever see anything on Low Blood Pressure, I have heard also it is more dangerous, do they have the same type of medication for low as high, I guess it isn't as common as high blood pressure...

There is no medicines for low blood pressure. My dad had twice low blood pressure, we had to give to more than 8 bottles of saline(glucose)both the times and he became unconscious both the times. His pulse rate also came very very low. it was a horrible experience and my mom was alone that time and i was just 16 yrs old that time

It depends upon why you have low BP if it is bad for you or not. Some people just normally live their life with low BP and have no problems with it. If a person loses a lot of blood volume, becomes dehydrated their BP can become low, if a person has a really bad heart then that can lower the BP and then if the person goes into shock there can be a drop in BP. There is many other reasons why someone could have a really low BP and it can be bad for them.

wow! is it really more dangerous than high blood? i never knew that.I also have low bp, my highest bp so far is 80/110.Last month it dropped to 80/60. That time i really feel dizzy and my nape aches and it radiates to my head.I haven't consult a doctor bout it. I just take iron supplements. All i know is, many factors affects our bp like lifestyle, disease, body structure and it is also genetics. I think i have low bp cause i don't have enough sleep since i have insomnia and maybe genetics too cause my mom and dad is also low bp.
