Puzzles.....as a hobby or for pastime?

There are different puzzles and the most common are jigsaw, Rubik's cube, word puzzle, sudoku and crosswords puzzles. Do you like to solve puzzles? What are the puzzles do you like to solve? Did you do it out of boredom or you just love to boggle your mind and became a hobby of yours?As for me, I did it for pastime, when I am bored or nothing to do. Puzzles I usually solve are word puzzle and jigsaw puzzle. I have Rubik's cube also, but well, have no patience to solve it, so far I only solved the green side of it.

However, I am good with sudoku and other Japanese puzzles. I love puzzles. It's like a hobby. I'll do it when I am on the road.
I think puzzles are good exercises for the brain.

i filed it under past time. i fixed a thousand-piece puzzle before and it took me days to complete it because it's really confusing.
it's not a hobby, maybe because there's not much of a puzzle store here to get addicted of.

yeah, jigsaw puzzle is really fun and confusing too, especially if it's a thousand piece puzzle. But well solving it really spend most of your time. But that's make it more enjoying. Thanks for the comment

i like solving puzzles! especially word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. i like playing scrabbles, and sometimes i answer crossword puzzles too. i got addicted with sudoku. i rarely answer a sudoku puzzle now but i still enjoy answering them. i play them for past time. i would answer one if i have time. i also play a lot of puzzle games in the computer. like jewel quest, crazy birds, hangaroo, etcetera. they are good past times when i'm bored with the internet.

I downloaded the platinum sudoku game in my cell phone... and i got hooked eversince... i came to love sudoku just last year... when i was very bored with my job... i tried solving one... and the rest is history... but now... i prefer playing sudoku in my cell phone... i find it more convinient... since i don't need to use a pen and a sudoku book... i do it as a hobby and to pass the time...

wow, sudoku, it was really good puzzle and really hard to solve it, isn't?Once I tried to solve some sudoku, but well after I solved it, I don't think I can to solve it again Yes, it was quite convenient to put in in your cellphone, in that way you can solve it anytime without pencil or messy papers. I have always like to solve puzzles but there's nothing to start off with my interest in them, till sudoku comes along ^_^ Since then i'm hooked onto puzzles and i will always solve all kinds of puzzles whenever i have time to do so, and it sort of become a hobby of mine, and not a pastime ^_^
But i have never solved a rubik's cube b4 because it's too complicated for me, and i have tried it since i was a kid till now.. lol

Puzzles are just my pastime activity,like you.Its not a hobby to me because I do not solve them regularly.I just do it when I have nothing to do.I like solving SUDOKU.

More for a pastime, but I count it as a hobby. Sudoku is okay as are crosswords. Other mental testing puzzles like Tetris, Panel de Pon, Columns, those are neat too. Random word puzzles are good, not that much of a favourite but still good.

Hi! Solving puzzle especially word puzzle and crosswords puzzle was my hobby before, when my friend and me jointly used to solve those. It was going on sometime. After my friend and me parted ways, i never entertain that. Previously i tried to understand sudoku, but could not, so i gave up that also.
