Normally the motherboards nowadays come with a LAN port, so there's actually not a need to get an extra internal wireless card or even a USB wireless adapter. Normally wireless would be slower & more unstable compared to having cable. The further it is the weaker the signal. But of course some would prefer wireless because it's less messy but I would say it doesn't necessarily have to be so as it can be done professionally
