Hwy knightrider, I do not think human beings can keep silent for a long time because they are social beings so we need to interact after a period of silence.

It will be better to talk because we cannot control it,it is our habit. I am exactly the same person as you are,so,carry on!There is at least somebody to accompany you,and I never tried to stop.

Not very long at all. I have to talk even if it's to myself or writing it down in a journal and then reading what I wrote outloud. Weird I know but thats me.

silence is somthing i just cannot do, i am an extreemly talkative person and i love to chat, i even end up talking to myself when there is nobody around lol! i do enjoy the quiet but only for about 1 min lol then i have to talk i just cant help it. i remember at school the teachers all tried to encourage me to do a sponsored silence but i refused lol as i knew i just couldnt do it!

When I was a kid, I can't keep my mouth shut. When I was still a student, I was one of those who were always tagged noisy in the class. I don't know but when I get to start work, I learned more to keep my mouth shut. It gives me much time to think and analyze. I talk in my mind, focusing and concentrating especially if my job requires me focus and sharpness of mind. I learned to love silence too since this gives me more peace of mind. That's why, as much as possible, I try to go out on vacation and go to places far from civilization. I work in a crazy city so I try to give myself some time to enjoy solitude. A bit of silence is healthy for the mind too.

well, if i am alone at home with the tv set at my disposal and the remote in my hand, i can remain quite till anyone comes to my home. it is simply an engrossing activity. you keep glued to it and forget every other thing. but if in company of friends, it is impossible to shut me up. the maximum time i have kept quiet is 8 hours. you know how? i was asleep. hahaha. enjoy and happy my lotting.

I know for a fact that i am a silent person and its really not that hard for me not to say a word in an extended period of time, i like to think and analize things better than chatter my thoughts away, they say im a deep thinker and when i speak, i mean what i say...at church its just but natural to be silent and respect the solemness of the church but sometimes there are people who can't stop talking even in a ceremony.

I rather will stay in silence than talk, when I have nothing to say. I love my colleagues, my friends. But sometimes you can learn more about people around you if you listen more than you talk.

hi I am not talketive but it is not possible to keep silent if I am at work or with other people. If there is another person with me I think I can keep silent for a maximum of five minutes. If I am alone and not making phone calls, then I can be silent for one hour at a stretch.

I think one day. As long as I surf online and/or watching movies, I really can keep silence for one day. It's not a big deal for me!

It's not unheard of for me to go an entire day in silence. I live alone. I spend most of my day on the computer. I belong to a very active global friendship community. I'm busy making money there as well as friends. I work at the local crisis center and i enjoy SILENCE !
