Do you bank online?

What one do you prefer? How do you know it is for real and you aren't being taken by a come and go institution? I have thought about banking online, but with so many viruses and spywares out there aching to get your information, how do you trust any of it?

I bank online and have never had a problem. The bank site are very secure so what you do can not get into others hand unless you let it. You really have to be careful of phishing emails that look like they come from your bank. Most banks never send you an email with a link to sign in. They tell you to go to the site and sign in. If you get an email with a link it is someone trying to get your information. You also need to make sure that you have virus and adware protection on your computer and a lot of banks now even offer you these for free.

I will remember that. I don't open emails like that anyways, but if they say they are from my bank and manage to steal the logo and alter it somehow, then I can see myself doing something dumb like that. Thanks for the tip.

I can't say I like the thought of $400 going out in 2 minutes. I know what you are talking about though.

Yup I do almost all of my banking online. However I still prefer to go into the branch and deal one on one for certain things that you need to speak with a person for. I find both types of service necessary

I love online banking. It is so convenient! I use it in paying bills. I check the security logo of verisign. I think they specialize on those types of securities. so far, all is going pretty well with my online banking. you can just imaging falling in line in banks near my place. geez. so time consuming.

I am not sure about the verisign stuff these days. I downloaded a toolbar that had verisign and it had spyware in it. Made me mad.

I do majority of my banking online through my banks website. It is very secure, with contstant incresing security features. If I were you, I would inquire within your bank about their online banking options and features of their website.

I have no bank, which is why I am asking. I was wondering about banks that are strictly online.
