There are multitudes of people who can speak in English, however most do not have the skill in speaking good and fluent English. I am personally not a native English speaker though I do speak engish. What do you think should be done to be good in this?

Personally, its READING. that's the smartest and fastest way, i reckon. personally, even if i do speak english fluently, i still read and it improves vocabulary. having a dictionary right beside you might be helpful too!

Yes, it would enhance one's vocabulary. However, this would not enhance much one's intonation or diction in speaking English.

Hi, I think reading newspapers, watching english news, practising again and again would definitely help but if one wants to learn to speak good english in a professional environment one can join an english speaking course coz there they teach u right freom the basics.

Just hang around with the smarter people that you are around and listen to them talk and you will pick this language up quickly. Life experience with people truely fluent in proper English is the best way to learn.

Practice. Practice. Practice. I know you know how to speak. You need to use them may it be broken English as long as you are getting familiar with it. The more you use, the more you will know where your weaknesses are. Soon as you found it this matter. Improve this part and practice again. Listening and singing English songs also have a great help. Watching English TV shows and movie will also improve your conversational ability and listening skills. Responding to myLot more often will improve you writing skills. Though nobody will correct your mistakes, eventually you will notice your mistakes. Okay. take care =)

Practice makes perfect. =) So here are the tips has worked for me. 1. Read books in English. More and more books. 2. Try to converse with people in English. Try to chat with native speakers of the language. 3. Try to watch more tv shows or programs in English. Have fun while you're at it. =)

Yes I definitely agree with the suggestions as well. Thinking in English is probably one of the top, if not the best, way to get to speak English fluently. There is a very big tendency that your spoken words will come out natural from you when you think that way. One of the most common hindrances, in relation to the one I just mentioned, is speaking in English but processing the thought in another language. There is a "lag" between thought and speech it takes more effort since you have to translate your thoughts into English. It is one of the common causes of stuttering while speaking. And of course, read and speak English a lot.

I would suggest reading a lot of books. Reading books improves your vocabulary and you can understand the usage of words/ The next step is to practise speaking in English. You have to practise speaking a lot only then you will be able to speak English fluently. All the best Have a nice day
