i often say ilove you and thank you to my love ones. however i was not used to it when i am in public places. one time when i was in a passenger jeep i just blurted out thank you to the one who handed me my change. it makes him smile and told me that i am the one who makes him smile that day!i felt self satisfaction especially when he said that there are still youth today who know how to say thank you.. am so proud! from that time i always say thank you to everyone..do you say thank you to everyone or to your love ones only?

i tell my parents i love them at least once a week (i talk them about every other day or every third day); my kids and my hubby, several times per day and if some one does something nice for me (or my family) such as give us clothes or money, i usually make them a thank you card.

I often say thank you to everybody who help me. I consider that it's good way to reciprocate. Sometimes one smile one word can make people happy, and feel the word is wonderful. We often go to shop, but less people say thank you to the saleman/salegirl, they are work tired all day, every time I pay for my things, I say thank you to the saleman, then I can feel it that his mood is better, i think he may consider that people deference him. So when someone do for me , I say thank you to them.

I always make it a point to thank people for favors they have done for me. I believe that people would really appreciate it if we thank them for the things they do for us. It's rare to see people who still say "thank you". I have encountered people who do not even know how to say "thank you" or at least show their appreciation in other ways.

Oh I thank everyone when its appropriate! I agree with the man who gave you change. Manners seem to be disappearing! So many people are stunned when my young children are polite! I am proud of them but it shouldn't be so shocking to others. Its the way we all should be to eachother. Just common courtesy can go a long way in someones day. In reverse, I love when I hold a door for someone and they say "thank you". It makes me feel good so everyone wins! Try it!!!
