What are we committed to?

United States

I really don't believe in this whole nonsense of a system. If the system in place works so well, wait till you are ready and then plan each step, then why is the divorce rate still so high in America? It doesn't work. Don't get me wrong, in theory it is a great idea, but it seems to me that it only satisfies one real marital issue; money. It seems to me that people are more committed to their plan they are to their partner. It seems to me that people consider a failed marriage when their plans don't go according to plan. I see so many men looking for "business partners" instead of mothers for their children. I have had one wife: you know how many business partners I have gone through? If you can connect on that level then great, but when the really hard times come can you stay committed on that level though?
