Someone stole my name well sort of the added an s. Instead of my name Sweetdesigninc thiers is Sweetdesignsinc. That is not right. I have had my name for 2 and a half years! It is my business's name so that is why I use it as my ebay id also. What a bummer. I don't feel so unique anymore.

Bummer that it's a business name, but I don't think een those are safe on public forums. I'm sure someone's going to come out some day as danishcanadian1 or adanishcanadian, or danish_canadian and some will think it's me, one never can tell. A bummer though. It makes people a little less unique, and easier to mix up with others.

well it wouldn't bother me on here but hate that it is on ebay. I am getting ready to launch into a new product on ebay and hope that there is no confusion between this other person and myself.they don't carry the same kind of items I do but you never know.

Well either way you have your feedback and they have theirs so the customer can tell if your good or not by your feedback, if you don't want your name you can always just change it your feedback will still remain the same that is what i did, i wanted mines to look more professional for selling

That must be so upsetting, because if the person gets negative feedback you don't want to be confused with that! People will think oh that so and so just changed their name and I know it's that same bum (not you the other person) Is there anything that you can do about it? Do you have a store on eBay or do you just buy? It has to really stink, and I am sorry to see this has happened to you! Hope for all the best for you!

I am a seller (I used to have a store but closed it cause it was so slow not worth it). Yeah the only thing that tells us apart is that they are in PA and I am in FL and I have been a seller for 2 and a half years and them for 6 months.

About a year ago, the members of another online community which will remain nameless but starts with a gath.. There were people going around signing up with other members names and it was very confusing. I think they were finally caught and dealt with appropiately.

That sux. I am sorry to hear that. However you can have more than 1 ebay name. So it is possible to make all of the names you can think of that use your seller name.

Yea, I know what you mean. All of a sudden there's several CreationsByRobin user names around. It used to be that everything I'd sign up for under that name would work, but now I need to add a letter of a couple of numbers to it for it to work.
Now I need to keep a notebook with all my id's and passwords nearby, because I've been forced to use several variations of my "name"...(and yes, it's my business name too!

you can report this person to ebay. Here is the policy http://pages.ebay.com/help/newtoebay/user_id.html in which states one of the things you CAN NOT do "The same user ID as another seller or similar to an eBay Store name." Although you are not a store.... you can still report it.. go to live helpless..err um I mean Live Help Upper right side of your ebay home page.. they will be able to tell you whether or not it is allowed or not.
