Global warming and going Green

I was wondering how others feel about going green. I have made several changes in my household. We have changed all of out light bulbs to the energy saving bulbs, bought a front load washer and energy saving dryer, we turn adjust the thermostat more often, turn off lights, and drive vehicles with great gas mileage. most resently I even changed jobs so that my commute will not be so long and therefore I will save gas. My main concern is that they push for people to walk or ride a bike as much as possible. I would love to do this, but I live in a rural area with no side walks or areas to walk or ride. I also live on a very busy roadway and would probably not make it out of my driveway without being crushed! We are planning to start a compost bin. I recycle aluminum cans and have even kicked the habit, the bottled water habit that is. I have a filter on my fridge and I bought a huge insulated cup. I fill it in the morning with ice and filtered water. This will usually last through the day. Can you give me some ways that you are going green to protect our environment from Global Warming?
