hi friends!well i have seen a lot of children who are less than 18 years smoking the hell out of their self.looking at a under aged smoking really makes me feel pity for that particular person they say that smoking makes a man cool but actually it makes a man "sick".smoking not only affects the person smoking but it also affects the person nearby him who is inhaling that poisounous smoke.i have no problem if a mature person above 18 years smoke but if a person who is under aged should never smoke .think about the time when their parents come to know that their children are actually smokers at a very young age. smoking not only causes heart attack, but also causes dieseases like mouth cancer, asthama and the most dangerous is "addiction",which is really hard to stop.it becomes a part of your life most of them do not succeed in quiting this habit and they become a slave to cigars.well it is also a key to forget the tension in your mind but smoking a cigar to release your tension is just worsening your tension,am i right?there may be many people in this world who love you, addiction can only be quited if there is a need in your mind,no one can help. smoking should be banned for under aged as they are delicate and are not mature enough to know its consequences.they can be easily manipulated and guided to the wrong path.parents should always keep an eye on them as they should be the one who should guide them to the right path.what do you think about it ?

hi friend, i know my studentds they are addicted to smoking. i thnik they try to immitate elders and at beggining they try to taste it.after that tey becime addicted. i don't think so that it could be controlled. I'm against smoking all in general, at any age. It's stupid, it's a waste of money, it shortens your life, you risk getting cancer, and it puts others at risk of cancer as well.

You are forgetting the power of influence put out by peer pressure. Sometimes it is not just the parents who are responsible for the under age kid to do what is right. The main responsibility is the kid himself/herself! Ever heard of the saying, "You can bring a horse to water, but you cannot force the horse to drink by pressing its head to the water!" If the parents do not do anything and the child goes wayward and starts picking up bad habits, we can blame the parents. But what if the opposite is true? Parents can lead and guide. But if the child insist on going wayward, whose fault is it?

Yes, I have seen underage smoking before, more than once. When I was growing up I saw a few kids smoke like they were old pros. The youngest kid I have seen smoking was about 5 or 6 years old. No joke. One of them was a boy who apparently had snagged a fresh butt (is that the correct term? ) from his parents ashtray (they were both smokers) and came outside to show his sister and I what he had. He said he was going to smoke it. His sister and I told him not to and I guess his dad heard the commotion because he came out and saw his son smoking. The dad grabbed his son and told him that he (the son) was going to get the belt, or something like that. I felt bad for the boy as he was obviously copying his parents actions. But I was a kid myself back then and there was nothing I could do. Since kids tend to follow their parents example, the parents should quit smoking. If not for themselves, then for their kids, because otherwise it'll just continue the cycle of underage smoking.

i saw some of my students smoking, my nephew started smoking 2 years ago and he's just 14 years old that time. i told him that it's bad for his health and a big risk of getting lung cancer. They did not listen and continued this habbit until now. we cannot stop them from doing such habbit, it's a collaborative effort of the families and vendors concerned to prevent them from smoking.

hi! smoking is terrible, i started when i was 15 due to peer pressure, i wish i hadn't of! im really wanting to stop at the minute due to having pulmonary embolism off smoking, so looks like i have no choice but to stop or i will just end back at hospital again plus i don't want my daughter growing up thinking smoking is good/nice. :)

yes, i even saw the elementary school student smoking! and they said they feel great by smoking. it seem they get "masculine syndrome". they feel that they not masculine enough if they don't smoke. what kind of people who need to smoke to feel their real identity?

This is very common in youngsters in my area. All you ever see is young people smoking around street corners because they think they 'look cool'. Eugh.
