Do you drive less because of gas prices?

Have gas prices made you stop driving so much? Will you be going on vacation this year despite the gas being so high? How has gas prices effected you? A lot of my pay check goes to gas. The money i make might as well just be gas money to get back and forth to work. I would love to go on a vacation this year but I doubt we will be going anywhere. Gas prices are insanely high...when will it stop? Do you think gas prices will ever go back down?

I can say I have cut back on the extra little trips out I used to make. I now make a shopping list, buy everything I need in one trip, and definitely do not just run out to grab something frivolous. I try to make only one trip out for shopping, going to all the stores I have to go to for my shopping, and don't travel to stores that are any further away than absolutely necessary. Since I work from home I don't have to worry about the cost of commuting for my job, but my husband's job is about 10 miles from home, through some really bad traffic both morning and evening. The cost of gas for him to drive back and forth has gone up nearly $40 per week since the rise in prices really kicked in and it really puts a pinch on our budget.

We certainly are staying home more. Prices are ridiculous. Trying to save in other areas. I work from home. So that saves a bit on gas.

We definetly drive less. We are going to visit a friend of mine over the 4th and that is about it. our grocery store has a gas program, for every $50 we spend we get 20 cents off gas from their gas station. So we have been saving it up so we can go visit my friend. We're up to $1.00 off right now. So we'll fill it up for only $2.99 a gallon which is still high but I'll take it over $3.99.
