They were supposed to start at 8:30 am. No phone call nothing. I know it looks like rain. That could be it. But I figured at least a call. What do you think?

I would not be surprised. I think balancing schedules is tremendously difficult and construction people might not be tremendously good at it. Hopefully, they get to work on it quickly.

My husband is a carpenter and if they think it will be rain then they won't start on a roof. Rain can be slippery and dangerous especially while on a roof. Also it can do damage to your roof worse by getting the wood damp or wet and cause more future problems like roof rot.

I think that it was pretty rude and unprofessional for them to not even call and let you know that they were not going to begin work on your roof today.

Well, you do deserve a phone call at least, even if it rains and you know that it is raining, you do deserve the courtesy of a phone call.. I would surely let them know whenever they do decide to come by..
