I am trying to lose weight and I am addicted to weighing myself every day. I have a day I record the weight but the rest of the week is just so I can see how I am doing. What do you do?

I always weighed myself every day although your not suppose to you should only weight yourself once a week but when you are trying to lose weight seeing that scale come down is what you want to see!

Once a week works. It is still scheduled to fit your addiction to weigh! LOL! Every 7 days is fine. No need to become obsessed!

I'm not in the trying to lose weight category. I've been anxiously watching as the scales creep UPword. I was 10 lbs underweight after an illness and am slowly gaining it back. But it's the same idea. ;) If you weigh yourself every day you may find you're obsessing over weight loss and it may be harder to actually lose it. It's better if you weigh yourself every week. Then if you have ups and downs along the way you don't freak out over the ups.

When i lost weight, 2 years ago, i did this myself - i was weighting myself every day, because i have an electronic scale, so i could estimate my progress really easily.

Personally I weigh myself everyday. A lot of people think this is a bad thing to do, but I think it's good to know where I'm at and how I'm doing. I read on a website that it's actually good because it can keep you motivated. Other people say that since your weight fluctuates based on what you eat/drink, etc., that it's not good. But what I do is a weigh myself at the same time everyday, right after I wake up and take a morning tinkle, that way it's as accurate as possible. I'm not a doctor or anything, in fact far from it, but that's just what I do. ^_^
