So you have pet insurance for your pet?

I have been thinking about getting pet health insurance for our dog and cats but I'm not sure if it is a good idea. Do you have pet insurance or have any experience with it? What insurance do you think is the best/worst? Thanks.

I can't say that I know of any pet insurance companies but if you can find a good one I suppose it wouldn't be a bad thing. Afterall, Pets are People Too!-)

Interesting. I suppose they only insure dogs and cats because they have longer life spans. I wonder about birds? Many of the exotic birds live 20 - 80 years! Thanks for your response.

I wish I had had pet insurance when my pets got sick and I will have insurance on them from now on. If you are the type to take your pets to the vet often and you want to be able to afford whatever pet care they need, then you might look into pet insurance.

Yes, I will have to research it. I've had sick pets in the past that we should have had insurance on too, so that is why I'm interested now. It would be nice to know what type of experience other people have had with it. Thanks.
