What state do you think The Simpsons would be in?

I dont think they ever specify what Springfield The Simpsons live in right? But I just have a general feeling that they would be in Ohio or Virginia or somewhere in the east I dont really know why though. I guess it doesnt matter because its just a show and it will never be known. What do you think though and what reasons do you have? Or maybe just have a guess? :P

I believe that the Springfield that "The Simpsons" exist in is a nexus point connecting all the Springfirlds in the United States. They literally exist in every state in the union.... ;)

The states that do not have a Springfield are: Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah, Washington & Wyoming. This is according to Mapquest. Just some FYI.

Hah interesting comments everyone. Though, it seems that you would be incorrect xboxboy because apparently there is not a Springfield in quite a few states. But yeah, well over half of the states have a Springfield so thats a good point, that it appeals to a large audience of people and they are for the most part an average American family (with their quirks of course hah).

I don't know. I thought it was Illionis, but then on the movie when Flanders was naming off the states that border springfield I have no idea where it is.

My guess was that they lived in springfeild illinois. There are so many out there though it would be hard to know for sure, unless matt were to tell which is not likley to happen any time soon.

Yeah good point. I would also think it would be something like Illinois or somewhere on the east coast. Im not completely sure but I think they had the premiere of The Simpson Movie in Springfield, VT or somewhere over there. They had some kind of competition and they chose VT because of votes or whatever. I dont think they chose it because that is actually where it took place but still kind of interesting.
