Why didn't someone tell me that American Dad was so funny?

I just discovered American Dad episodes from an online
movie site. And it's so funny. Not for kids, though.
It's from the same guy that does Family Guy and the
humor is the same.
Have you seen American Dad?
I never saw the show when it was on FOX, cause we
don't have cable and our TV reception is not clear.
I think the alien is hysterical.
He reminds me of Samantha's cooky uncle on Bewitched.
The mom is funny cause she's the stereotype of the average
suburban perfect housewife.
And of course there's Stan. What more can I say about him.
He's so old fashioned and weird and funny.
A typical Republican guy.
The in-laws are funny too, cause they are always trying to
recycle paper towels by washing them.

I have watched American Dad a few time and it seems good but Family Guy is better. The baby Stewey is the high light of the whole show. I don't watch it all of the time but from time to time when I want a good laugh and it's on I will watch it.

Baby Stewie rules! I love watching the episodes
where baby Stewie and Brian are doing stuff, like
sharing an apartment or going cross country.
Then there was that episode where their hands
got super glued together and they ended up in a car
and got stopped by a cop, who had also been super glued
to his partner.
And, at the end of the episode when the glue finally
wore off, Stewie asked Brian if he wanted to hold hands
while they walked home.
It was funny cause a minute before he'd told him how
sick he was of him. Both are brilliantly funny shows.
From the same demented comic mind. So that could
explain some things!

I love that show. I never was a big fan of Family Guy, but I love America Dad. I guess I love it so much because of the fun it pokes at the government. I think it's an absolutely brilliant show.

That's it! It does poke lots of fun.
I think the government always has room for
improvement.
The funny thing to me is that the guy really
believes in his job and the American way.
It's so stereotypical. Of course, it's way
overblown, noone is really that way.
Guess that's why it's so funny.

Sorry but its true! ;p We are here for a reason, and its okay to ask about shows around here.
I like how it pokes fun of all aspects of the government and other aspects in society. One could argue it has some leanings, but in terms of entertainment it exaggerates a lot of the stereotypes and mindsets. Besides Stan and Avery, Steve and his dork group are also pretty funny. Don't get me wrong the other characters are pretty humorous too.

umm my favorite character is the alien its so funny when he dresses up as a girl is some episode dont watch it too much tho but itss pretty funny but family guy is better

I blame my brother for this one. He told me to watch Family Guy, which was followed by American Dad. Now, I am hooked on the shows. I also like the Simpsons.
