I had this friend of mine back then, and we usually argue when it comes to playing games. He's the type of guy who would stick his a-s-s on playing games such as PS2 and the likes. While everytime I played online games, he always criticize me for what Im doing, Asking things like what do I gain in playing online where you just level up and level up. In his view, he'd rather prefer consoles game, since he feels like that whenever he finishes one kind of game (like RPG games) he feels very accomplished and he drools over the success that he had. So what can you say guys about this topic?

I am a huge gamer, and I have always loved offline console games, because in my opinion they are the best, because to me they are easier to play,so if I want to play a game,I go to mine and my fiances room and play the X-box,I will admit some online games are fun,and I am not putting them down, they are just not my cup of tea.

Thanks for the comment. I've also been into offline games back then, like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Marvel vs Capcom and such. But the time when pc games popped up! KA-FOOM!! My gaming has evolved extending from ps to pc games like warcraft, red alert,RO, MU, and other games, whether offline or online. Although at some point there's boringness that you would feel playing pc games alone. Unlike console games that has stories in it.

I've also been to offline games back then, ranging from Final fantasy series, metal gear solid, castlevania, marvel vs capcom and such. But when pc games popped up, my gaming has evolved to playing red alert, warcraft and those kind of games which require multiplayer interactions. Pc games tend to be boring at times unlike console games that has stories in it. But sometimes i like the interaction in pc games.

Well, I play both online and offline games.. If I don't have internet I play some offline games in pc such as dinerdash, textwists, bookworm, etc.. Sometimes I also played gameboy advanced SP (since, I don't have PS2).. Well, I always played 1 game in gameboy and that is Harvest moon.. I know that it is boring but I am having fun playing this game because I believe that I gain something from it like having a hard work and patients in planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables in the farm and at the same time earning money so that I can extend my homes and ready to get married.. I really love playing this games.. On the other hand, I also played online games which are flyff, perfect world and gunbound.. These are some games that I really played.. Well, I don't think that I am just waisting my time in playing this game.. Because I also believe that you also gain something from it like making good strategy in order to kill the monster or oponent for me to win the game or to have a big exp. Another thing is having a long patient especially in level up because sometimes it is hard to level up especially if the character is still in the lower level.. I think your friend didn't know ho hard to level up and to think so many strategy in order to earn big exp or to win the game.. For me, playing one kind of game is boring because you learn and experience one thing and always repeating it again and again..

Yeah he doesn't really know that part, and that's the one that gives the game some challenge.

i'd prefer offline games. although i've played 1 online game (yeah, one only!) and i enjoyed it. i'd rather play offline games maybe because of the same reason as your friend. online games are also fun, it's just that i'm not that good (compared to other players) that's why i keep losing. :) plus, sometimes the internet connection is very slow it'll just make me mad.

HAHA! That's what makes online quite fun. There are certain times that you will confront those kind of moronic people. But hey, it's part of the game.

I am playing the map called DOTA in the warcraft 3 TFT game. If not online, at least i play in a LAN game. I want my enemies to be player controlled and not just AI's. That is why i really hate online MMORPG games and the likes. AI's are weak! I want my opponents play as good as or even better than me. If i am to play offline games, i will play it hard mode or even harder. At least, even though my opponents there are AIs, it will still be a challenging game because of the game mode. Leveling up, killing AIs in mmorpg games and the likes, is the most boring games I ever tried.

Want some challenge in playing online? Try hitting level 70+ AI's (NPC or whatever it is)while your still at level 1. XD

I prefer online games myself, especially the one where you can earn points or tickets to play and cash in for prizes. I love the MSN Live Search Club games.. I have already cashed in 3 times for prizes... no shipping or handling or taxes... BUT.. I do love the Rockband game for playstation... Only game I will play that is a console game because its very interactive...

I like a lot of racing games. I'm not really one for the types of games where you have to search for things. I play the computer game The Sims 2 a lot. And then I spend my other time playing PS@. I'm kind of obsessed with Grand Theft Auto 3, lol. I play a few games online, but it's not something that I do a lot.

I like offline games than on line games. However i like the graphics of Hero on line and Cabal. They had similarities when it comes to the graphic part. What i don't like about online games is the level up portion.

I think it's a matter of preference or interest. People who go for offline games prefer the adventure or interesting storylines of the game itself. Like reading a book, the sense of fulfillment in the end is very sweet. However, for online gamers, they prefer adventure too but more focused on meeting new people, friends, from different parts of the country or even the world. At least that's what I think. Sounds true right? Interesting topic. Thanks for putting it up.

It really doesn't matter for me if it is online or off line just as long as it is entertaining and challenging at the same time. Maybe the advantage of online games is you get more interaction with more people as compared to off line games.

offline are good, but for a game to be good, it has to keep you playing for hours, and once youve completed a single player game, its boring to do it again, whereas online allows you to extend the lifespan of a game because its always new. online is usually more fun aswell.
