When I was studying, English subject is not my favorite, but now seems I need to love it because of my kids. Last night I've got a tough assignment pertaining to preposition. They have assignment regarding the usage of in,on and at Let me know if you can figure it out easily, if you do, then you are good in English; Select the appropriate preposition for the following sentences, choices are in,on and at; We live ( in, at, on ) Molave Street We live ( in, at, on ) 1234 Molave Street We live ( in, at, on ) Quezon City

English was my favourite subject in school. Math was my least favourite. Anyways the correct answers to that would be: We live ON Molave Street. We live AT 1234 Molave Street. We live IN Quezon City. If the number of the street is mentioned it should be AT, if the name of the street only it should be ON, and if the city or country is mentioned always use IN. Those are the important points to remember.

You're most welcome. That's one of the few things I remember from grade school because the teacher would just punish us with more preposition tests.

We live in Molave St., We live at 1234 Molave St. I think that's the appropriate preposition. You won't believe me but the subject I hate most when I was still studying was Filipino. And of course my ever favorite was Mathematics.

Well in the US the proper way would be: we live on Molave Street we live at 1234 Molave Street we live in Quezon City I grew up with a grandmother that was an English teacher, two of my sisters are teachers, and three of my aunts. Plus I have always loved writing and in college took as many English classes as I could. I saw on the first post you wanted to know how they knew that. Well this is the question you have to ask yourself to know the answer. Can I live in a street? No actually you do not live in it so you would have to either live at or on a street. So try this one. Can I live at a street? No because there is no physical address example 1234. So you are left with, Can I live on a street? Yes Molave Street. My grandmother hate prepositions because we are from the Midwest and it is our vernacular to end a sentence with a preposition. I will give you an example of the way a lot of mid westerns speak, Where are my keys at? lol that one drove the woman crazy.

when i was in high school i used to hate math so much. =) nothing seems to get in my head at that time. when i did get to uni though, my father wanted me to study accountancy. which i did , and dealed with a lot of numbers at that time. it was then that i realize that if i just "not" think of how i hated that subject, it wouldn't be that hard for me. =) fortunately for me, i did survive the whole course.

hmm, I think the answers are: We live in Molave Street We live at 1234 Molave Street We live on Quezon City As for subjects I don't like are Geometry and Trigonometry. Ohh, I really dislike those subjects. It was quite complicated and have a too complex problems to solve. I really hate it. It was good thing that I finished studying those subjects.

We live in Molave St. We live at 1234 Molave St. We live on Quezon City. The subject I don't like at all is Physical Education. I am not really the type of person who loves running around a field for what seemed like hours. I am NOT a sporty person. But the subject I like the most is mathematics. It really is a fun subject to study because you don't need to memorize lots of important details. Just formulas. One thing I also like about math is it is a practical subject. For example, in solving problems, you need to think about the said problem. You need to analyze the situation and find a solution to it. For me, math is a very fun and challenging subject that tests not also your mathematical skills, but also your intellect and understanding in reading.
