Home Town Buffet

I go there with my parents almost every Saturday and I love the place. I love that you can have your own salad your way. And the dessert is the best too. Only thing that I hate is they keep changing the name some are Hometown and others are Old Country Buffett they need to make up their minds.

I do like these buffets. The ones near me are Old Country Buffet, but they are part of the same chain. The food may not be 4-star but it is pretty good. There is a huge variety so there is something for everyone. It is a good place to go with friends who you might want to hang out with for awhile, as they do not rush you out. The only thing I don't like is that there tends to be a lot of small children running around (I am not used to looking down when I walk with a full plate of food...) and it does tend to get crowded. I signed up with their email club and just got a couple of coupons from them yesterday, so I am planning to go back soon. It is definitely a once-in-ahile thing, though.

I feel like a grandchild when I go there because everyone is so old! I'm not a fan of belling up to the hog troff so I avoid buffets at all costs. The last time I went I emptied a salt shaker on my food, it was so bland. My kids liked it when they were little because we fed them mac n cheese and then rolled them out the door.
