Yeah - it is advisable NOT to do this but the habit of smelling money is something that we tend to do when we're not well aware of the hygenic advice. the people who have touched the cash money in our hands are unknown to us - SO, LET'S KICK THIS HABIT. thank you!

I am sorry but, dont you think about where the money has been? The list can go on and on ... Maybe someones little one dropped it in the toilet. Maybe some person who never showers had it in their pocket for a few days, and I do know of someone who brags on his water bill being $20.00 a month because he hardly uses water... think about that!

hi single! ew! i don't have the habit of smelling money. i don't even like the smell of it! especially the old and worn out ones. they just smell so bad. i could put up with the smell of new ones (fresh from the banks) but i just can't take the smell of the old ones. and yes, you're right. we don't know what germs and bacteria are there. we don't know whose hands have touched it. for all we know it might have passed the hands of someone who has skin disease that is contagious. ugh.

I generally don't smell the money but whenever i get a fresh new note in my hands i generally tend to smell it i don't know why but i do it automatically :d But generally we are not supposed to smell the used notes because we dont know which hands it has been through worse we don't know which places it has been in. Imgaine a note in a guys pocket for more than a week, it would be in constant touch with his sweat and you smelling it. Yew it wouldn't carry the smell but the thought kills right it is better to avoid such awful things with used notes :)
