A couple of years ago I visited a holy shrine, about half a days journey away from where I lived. I went there without any expectations, moreso because I was told about it by a lot of friends. The visit itself was time consuming and a little tiring since there were a large amount of people present. Starting 2 days after my visit there were considerable changes in my life. Things that I had given up on and had no hope on suddenly came back into perspective. My thinking process changed and my perspective in life also started changing for the better. Have any of you been through an experience in life similar to this ?

I have not had the opportunity to visit a Holy place of any significant magnitude as of yet alok, but I would love to do so one day for sure. I am happy to hear that you were able to put things back into perspective while experiencing this visit and I hope that you are continuing to maintain a positive and clear mindset since then. Sometimes the unseen and unheard influences of a physical spiritual entity can assist us with introspection in the most indescribable ways!

James my visit to this place and it was in Maharashtra not very far from Mumbai, called Shirdhi. You may or may not have hear about it. It was of course a while ago and was for more out of curiosity. The expereince post this visit had changed my life with many things too good to be coincidences. But the spiritual experience was definitely worth it. Thanks

Hi Alok Spirituality is a beautiful thing and you could experience it in even the drabest of places. I am sure the place you were talking about have had a perfect spiritual backdrop. I have visited many holyplaces but haven't been write able to enjoy the PEACE you are talking about here. I, however, am still seeking that INNER PEACE. And I strongly believe, it's just a matter of time. It just happens and no arrangement , no perfect settings can actually help us reach there. I am glad that you have found that precious thing i life from where we do not have to look beyond. Wish you peace, sanity, love in life. Thanks.

The strange thing here is Mimpi, i did not go looking for the experience, but more out of curiosity. and it seems stranger that the more we seek to find it , the more difficult it gets. Mine was an experience that left me desiring to seek and experience more. But at the same time we have our lives to go about, our duties and obligations in our lifetime to be done. These experiences serve to remind us of our ultimate focus in life. WE may experience them from time to time, but retaining the inner peace means seclusion from Worldy matters. There will be a time and a place for this. And i think most get the call in some form or the other. Thanks for the response.

So true! The ability to seclude ourselves from the worldly emotions, not being perturbed by the world earthly emotions and reaching that level of spiritality is tough. We are highly affected, inhibited. What others talk about us make us unhappy, upset and sad. Why do we have be the slave of their thoughts? If we know what we should do and what we are doing is not wrong why on earth should we be affected. I just wish I could see myself there soon.

Exactly Mimpi. This is indeed on the of the wonders of being human. I mean the extremeties in both cases. The wordly matters and the spiritual . To fully understand and experience the spiritual we have to go through the cycle of the wordly life. And blessed are those who find thier inner peace.

I can narrate my own experience on this Alok. And I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity to share this experience. My daughter Sri hasn't started talking properly since she was four years old.We made a wow to donate a golden tongue and so we did.I just cannot forget the amazing return journey where my daughter started to talk non stop till we reached Chennai. How do you explain this Alok? And she was a child born after several years too and we named her Srinidhi the Lord Vishnu's name itself.

Yes I always believe in these verses of Gita, Whatever happened, it happened well. Whatever is happening, it is happening well. Whatever will happen, it will also happen well.
