have you read this novel??? it is written by arthur golden.. it talks about sayuri an aspiring geisha.. you will learn about her the life of being a geisha.. they are performers and they will sell... what do they sell?? their virginity to the biggest tycoon in the community.. that is life.. ziyi zhang played the role of the geisha.. "i want life tht is mine" -sayuri..

just finished reading this book, love it and then I went and borrow the movie. However, as is always the case, the movie was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too different from the book...would have been good if they had stick a bit to the book storyline, but oh well, enjoyed both all the same.

I thought this book was excellent, and would read it again. I really want to see the movie also.
