Yes, it is true.
Dickie Scruggs, once regarded as possibly at the top of his profession has been convicted in a judicial bribary case.
Here's the story.

As he is in his 60's and practiced law for decades, who thinks this is the first or only time he tried to pull a stunt like this? Not me.
Dickie Scruggs, living breathing proof as to why people should be skeptical of lawyers, tell lawyer jokes, and laugh at them.
What do you say?

To be at the top of his profession and then get caught in something like this? How many lawyers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Five. Three to turn the ladder, one to hold the lightbulb, and one to bribe the judge:(
Here's one more: What's the difference between a sludge-sucking bottom feeder and a lawyer?
Answer: One's a fish.

Please join me in a sarcastic and joking "congrats" ;p
I've always been skeptical of lawyers and judges. I'd say several facets of the legal system are completely corrupt or otherwise grossly abusive. This case is a bit interesting since its a judiciary bribe, rather than a "legal" (through activists and other entities) bribe. R.I.P. "justice" it seems.

When the ABA gets its way and juries are replaced with panels of lawyers, then the justice system will really be screwed.

Oh how a find this story so funny, this man Dickie Scruggs thought he own the court room, now the court room owns him. When he was sueing ever cigeratte company he thought he was "God", so why would anyone think that it would be beneath it slug to brib a judge.

Well, you know what they say. 99% of lawyers give the other 1% a bad reputation.
