God loves America, otherwise why would He open up all this often frozen ocean just so we could DRILL FOR OIL there? Why else could this have happened?
Skeptics around the world point to this as to the real reason the ice is melting more than usual.

They are athestic skeptics and doubters! They are going to know all about fire and brimstone soon enough. How dare they insinuate the melting ice is the result of unusual volcanic activity with all that fire and brimstone? Are they saying it is the devil trying to help America by freeing up this potential oil drilling field? Are they saying the Islamic terrorists are right? That America is under the protection of Satan? Traitors!
Don't believe it friends! God himself created those volcanoes to melt the ice and save America from her energy crises. If not the volcanoes, then it must be Global warming that will save us as this will negate the cost of heating our homes in winter, for sure, along with clearing that pack ice for drilling the ocean floor at the TOP OF THE WORLD.
BTW: Do you suppose polar bear tastes like chicken or beef?
Since this certainly means all the polar bears are going to die, we might as well eat them before they go to waste.
So, what do you think?
Will we be able to employ all the unemployed, out of work ice breaker sailors? Can their ice breaking ships be converted to other purposes?
Do I have a better potential future as a political satirist, fundamendalist clergyman of a new religion, a political prisoner, or a heretic?

I love it!
One article is talking about global warming melting the arctic (although it forgot to mention anything about it being man made), and the other one is talking about volcanoes melting it!
Maybe it was man made volcanoes... 
Now then, wasn't the Northwest passage navigable at some point in history? I seem to think it was, so what is the deal when the article said it had never before been open?

The article is very sneaky concerning the northwest passage being navigable. They say in recorded history, it hasn't been navigable, which is correct. It is pretty certain that when the vikings settled Greenland and its climate was much warmer, the northwest passage was navigable, but that is before recorded history of that culture. There are all kinds of ways to mislead without lying.
BTW: The north pole has in the past frequently been partially melted in the summer. Furthermore, even if it opens completely this year, next year is very much in doubt unless the volcanoes continue.

Well of course God loves America, God love drilling for oil, and God love driving big SUVs and trucks.
Satan is the one that created the Yugo, why do you think it was a peice of junk. Satan does not know how to create anything for good only God can do that.
As to the polar bear question I think it would taste like beef only because bear meat is red meat. I cannot wait to go to my local steak house and order polar bear filet mignon.
You might have a future in political satire but I like the idea of the Church of Redyellowblackdog of Later day saints(Sorry my Mormon friends).

You and everyone else seems not to care about the poor out of work ice breaker sailors. Just something I noticed. Maybe they need their own lobbying group and a congressman in their pocket. Maybe they could march on Washington DC. Their signs could read "Fight Global Warming, Put an ice breaker back to work"

God does love America. Do you think they will be allowed to start drilling for oil now that the ice is melting? Or will die hard environmenatlist members of the Church of Gore find a way to blame global warming on the melting ice and stop the drilling.
The Church of Gore won't see God's blessing in this, I'm afraid.
Polar bear steak doesn't sound appetizing to me, but who knows, with the rising food prices......

Now that some fool has brought up eating polar bear, I seem to recall that polar bear liver is so rich in vitamin A as to be toxic, but I could be wrong.
As to drilling in the Artic Ocean, I don't know really if it is practical. The ice would come back and then when it started to break up and drift away could destroy any oil drilling rig, I think.
But, I'm sure, the Church of Gore would prevent anyone from drilling anyway, so it doesn't matter.
Yes, actually, God does love America. It is one of the countries that protects all people in however they want to worship Him.
