When i high school we used to do this a lot. As of now there is very few that i remember but i am sure mylotters can come up with some thing nice too. Here are a few that i remember : 1. "Silence is Golden" BUT "The Squeaky wheel gets the grease". 2. "Ink is thicker than Blood" But "Action speaks louder than words". 3. "Look before you leap" BUT "Do not kick dead horses". Are you aware of any proverbs that contradict each other, like the above. It would not be easy to think and write it down, you would require sometime as i racked my brains and could find just these few. Could you hepl me with some more of these? Aren't these interesting?

That was quick!! I laughed at myself when i saw your comment and wondered why i didnt think of it. I have not thought of it even when i was in school!! Thank you for increasing my knowledge about contradicting proverbs. Did you have to rack your brain or did it come naturally to you? Coz i had to rack my brain to get things out of my head. This looks like it was easy for you.

Strangely enough, we had mentioned the cooks one in conversation about an hour ago! Here's a few more (your question got me thinking) Absence makes the heart grow fonder - Out of sight, out of mind You're never too old to learn - You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Birds of a feather stick together - opposites attract All things come to he who waits - Time and tide wait for no man Whats good for the goose is good for the gander - One man's meat is another man's poison Have a great day (no contradiction to that, just hope you do )
