Tomorrow, Fort Ticonderoga is having it's 250th anniversary of the French and Indian War with reinactments and old time shops all over the place. We went last year and it was really something. There are supposed to me way more events all day long than there were last year. We had a great time. So we're going again this year. I like to see people wearing old style clothing, look at the old style shops, etc. I like to see demonstrations of old crafts and to eat food made the old ways. The French, Indian, and English encampments are interesting in their differences and similarities. So what events are coming up where you live? Are you going to any of them? What do you like about them?

Here in the Philippines, we do have lots of festivals especially in provinces. They are usually for their patron saints and sometimes even about what the province is known for like Flower Festivals and such. I had the opportunity to participate in some and my goodness food is everywhere. Maybe that's what I enjoy most! However, here in the capital, there aren't much festivals as the one happening in the provinces and usually not as extravagant. Simple village gathering here and there are common. I wanna go to the province and experience them again .

I'd love a flower festival! I seriously love food, too! Sounds like fun in the Philippines. Thanks and take care.

Thanks as well! Oh and if ever, you have a chance to go here, it's fun to celebrate with the townsfolk. Ask around for what festival and what part of the country currently has one.

Wow, that does sound interesting. I would be fascinated with demonstrations of the old crafts. In September our youngest daughter will be in town for our other daughter's baby shower. I haven't seen her since April so it will be so great to see and spend time with her. Our middle daughter is due to have her first baby the first of November. Can't wait for the arrival of our grandbaby. She's having a girl. There are all kinds of things happening next weekend, July 4th, so guess we will go see some fireworks if my husband is not playing ball.
