In my case, this Net-surfing has taken away most of my time for reading good books those I timely collect from exhibitions and book-stalls. I think, I shall have to reorganise my time to serve my old friends nobody but books! What about you? How do you manage your daily time to study good books? Please share your views!

it's the same for me too as well. but lately, another reason why i've been reading less is that i've not been borowwing books as i've been too busy looking after my young kids so i guess it'll stay this way for a while. net surfing has taken up my time as well when i'm free but i'm not only surfing the net. i'm actually also reading. i admit that i'm not reading those novels and so on of course. it's just comics that i read or rather manga. but i guess try and finish your daily chores first before sitting down to read. or try not to do all the chores at once. you'll be too tired to read then. try and organise for example, you may want to wipe all the dust on monday and clean the cabinets and so on on tuesday and on goes the list.

Reading is the feeding to mind! Otherwise mental unhealthiness is likely to follow! So all of us must read books and stay fit. Thanks for your response!

I don't know about "good" books but I have noticed in recent years that I spend far more time on the net and far less time engaging in one of my favourite activities - reading. I have recently actively started reading again and am in the process of renewing my love for my Agatha Christie novels and have got interested in another author, MC Beaton who writes detective novels based around a character called Agatha Raisin - nowhere near as exciting as Christie novels but enjoyable nonetheless :) Here's to us all giving time to a wonderful activity called readin!

Yes, Friend the time has totally changed. The growth of Inofrmation Techonlogy and comupter has taken the time of reading or studying books. Now these days you can find most of libraries are seen empty or blank without readers. It is a very unhappy situation, but we shoud go for books, beacuse books has a important role. Many many books are lending in libarary waiting for readers, but there is no readers. It is not really a healthy system of our education system. Please share your views.Thank you for this type of discussion.

That's right Pappun! Modern concept of 'surfing' has taken away most time of reading in most countries. That's why libraries ar now poorly populated! But we must have to maintain and protect our reading habits of good books. Thanks for this nice response!
