I have a problem with not wearing a seatbelt, I have to buy my car, I have to pay for the wear and tear of my car, I have to pay the insurance, Why can I not have the right to choice wearing a seat beat. The air bag has decapitated children's heads, bruises the body and can be as dangerous depending on the height of a the driver or passenger. I do not feel we should have to be put into some control freaks box, just so companies can make thousands of dollars and have these items in a vehicle. You do not wear a seat belt on a bus, you do not wear a seat belt on a motorcycle or bike, you don't have to have a seatbelt if the vehicle is from one year and older. so why should we have to wear them? Question : Do you think that the law should force you to wear a seat belt or have air bags in your vehicles. Have you heard or seen anyone that has had either on and had an accident and did they live or die? thanks

Seatbelts and airbags are needed in vehicles. All vehicles seem to come standard with them now. You can't ask them to make a car that doesn't have seatbelts. I think they'd laugh at you. Seatbelts can save lives. If you're comfortable driving and possibly dying because you don't want to wear a seatbelt, then so be it. That's your own issue. And, some busses DO have seatbelts. I've been on busses where they ask you to wear them or else you cannot ride on their bus and this is public transportation.

I dont really have a problem with wearing a seat belt.I have my kids in the back seat(well actually in the middle seats since we have a minivan)SO that if the air bags ever did deflat they wouldnt be hurt.I have heard mostly of people getting hurt by not wearing seatbelts. But I am sure that people can get hurt with a seat belt on.I think that the law is going to win either way with enforcing it and the law.

oh, I agree completely, yes when it comes to the kids, they all have their seat belts on. I make them seat in the backseat we have a honda, I know of a few episodes that they were good and bad, but, I cannot wear them, I guess it is more the shoulder strap, then the belt itself. ty

yes, it does feel strange until you get use to it, After I saw what happened to my son and the 3 months of pain over the air bag I have learned to seat back just a little more, where my toes will touch and about arms length. I care a knife in my car close to where I am able to reach it if by chance this ever happens. I have not had an accident in a long time Praise God, and I know airbags are probably better than going through a window, but I have been in an accident where I bent the steering wheel, and bursied my chest for months. But, I was one of the fortunate ones. and this was before airbags. If my son was not has quick as he was, I may had lost him over a rock, where it was at, I know that, he is alive for it was not his time, yet. Anyway, sorry but with this I would honestly think about listening to your husband, the way people drive it may not be your fault, but you really don't want to suffer any more than what life gives to us at times, just try to go a little back get use to it, may take awhile, it did me. until you can get to an arm's reach, smile, be happy, be safe and my God bless you and yours. take care ty
