This is my beebalm I started 2 years ago. It has spread about 5 times the area when I first planted it. It is an attractant for the butterflies around. But I have seen just a couple this year. Someone stole all the butterflies from Minnesota. Was it you? Someone returned the bees finally. Now they also need to return my butterflies. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh no, sorry to hear someone stole your butterflies, it wasn't me. I have only seen some yellow and some brown ones around here at times. Hopefully your butterflies will find their way home soon.

I was just looking up about hummingbirds and your bee balm is a plant that attracts them. I sure hope the butterflies around here aren't yours, if so then a whole bunch of them got lost from there to here.

We seem to have more than usual here, but we are going to keep them for awhile, after all you have the BEES!

Thats so pretty and I remember that they grow like crazy. you know in the Black HIlls of South Dakota bee balm 'grows along the creeks and if you pick up a cup of water close to the beebalm the water tastes all spearminty' flavored. We had some beebalm in my moms flower beds and it was so pretty. our bees loved it too. you know this summer I have seen very few butterflies around which is unusual. the monarch butterfly a few years ago swarmed in a huge cloud across the parking lot at our local library on their way towards SanDiego and La Jolla then to Mexico. they were so pretty and so many I had never seen a swarm of them before. so looked themn up and they were migrating on their way to Mexico. we have now our tustin flock of wild parrots that come here everysummer from far off lands. they are really beautiful but also very noisy too.

We have them wildly here in Minnesota as well. But it is illegal to pick plants from State or County property. Being they are alongside the roads, that makes it a crime. Othrwise I'd have a lot more in my yard. HAHAHA!! That would be cool to see the parrots flocking like that. But I can only imagine the noise of them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
