I was carrying a basket of Balut. The first buyer bought half of my Balut and asked for another one for free. The next buyer bought half of the remaining half of my Balut and asked for another one for free. The third buyer bought half of the remaining half of my Balut and asked for another one for free. This time, nothing left except my basket, all my Balut was gone. Can you help me to find how many Balut I have so that after the third buyer I don't have Balut left on my basket? Your answers including the details or formula if possible would be nice. Try it.

x = how many baluts you have 1st scenario, 0.5x +1 2nd scenario, 0.5(x-(0.5x+1))+1=0.5(0.5x-1)+1=0.25x+0.5 3rd scenario, 0.5(x-(0.5x+1+0.25x-0.5))+1=0.5(0.25x-1.5)+1=0.125x+0.25 Formula is x-(1st scenario+2nd scenario+3rd scenario) = 0 The answer is 14 i think

x= number of baluts say number of 1st balut 1st buyer buys,A =0.5x+1 2nd buyer buys,B =0.25x+0.5 3rd buyer buys,C=0.125x+0.25 x-(A+B+C)=0 u will get 0.125x=1.75 and x=14

Ok, here is my answer. You have 14 balut in your basket. 14-(7+1)=6 (first buyer) 6-(3+1)=2 (2nd buyer) 2-(1+1)=0 (3rd buyer) Check if I'm right. LOL Happy Solving!!!!
