Someone Wants to Buy My Domain Name?

Urgh! Got an email through my own website that someone is interested in buying my domain name (beauty-tricks.com). Surprisingly, I haven't even given it a thought but the word "NO" popped up in my head. It's a website which me and my friends are working on for around 2 years and I don't think we are going to just sell it like that (besides, I believe the guy is not some BIG buy who would pay big bucks *laughs*). But if someone wants to buy your domain name, would you sell it?

I have done it before. My ex and I had a site that we had been working on for about a year and a company came to us offering to buy it. We made $10K off of the deal.

10K is wonderful but still I guess I am too lazy to start all over another website *laughs*.

I checked out our site. I don't see a reason why you shouldn't sell. it. I am sure you guys put a lot of work in it and guess what - you can back up all that data and still have those same pages on a new domain name. If you site was a custom built, hand coded, fancy flash site, with a devoted (like 1000K+ people) forum, then I would advise against it.

Hi wondericequeen, I know you will feel not to sell your domain but there is no harm in selling your domain if somebody is offering you huge money. There are some people who are just buying and selling their domain and they are milliners you can't imagine the power of a domain. You can sell you are getting good return.

hi wonderice! i think its nice that someone is interested with your domain name. its a little cool right? its like you have thought of something nice that someone is interested in buying it and probably wishing that he was the first one to have thought of it and used it. ^__~ i think if someone would want to buy my domain name, i would sell it, but only for the right price. i can use another nice domain name anyway. i have lots of other interests to pick from.

Hello wondericequeen, It depends...if they offer a lot of money, I will consider *smiles* But if I really need the domain name, I will not sell it to others. You are currently using that domain name for your beauty products review, right? Maybe you shouldn't think of selling it as you already spent so much time for that site.

I wish someone would offer me money for my domains! I have 3 of them and put them all up for sale but never checked back up on it or heard anything. They're no longer up as I had to cancel my web hosting plan but I still have these domains which I don't wish to renew or do anything with.

I think that's a good news! At least someone is interested in your domain name. Perhaps everybody is different. If I were you, if my domain name can sell a good price, I will sell it. And I can register a new one for me. I wish someone will be interested in buying my domain name, too:D I love China

Did you ask him/her why he/she's interested in you domain? Hmm..maybe you've got a higher PR or something like that. LOL! anyways, if that happens to me, i wouldn't sell my domain name since I'm the one who bought it unless they'll offer me a million dollars haha. Just kidding.

I've never really understood domain names and all that. What would be big bucks for a domain name? What would your price be if you were willing to sell?

Sure why not? I have a lot of domains to sell on sedo. Some people are willing to pay big money if they need that domain name, but your domain name is not a premium domain (one word) so there are other things that can make your domain to be more valuable to others. But give a look at sedo, and you will see what to expect for that domain name. Don't pass on something that you will regret later on! ;) there are loads of similar domain names like yours, and maybe that guy owns a company with that name that you are using, so you will never know what to expect, but try to give a look at websites like sedo or domain appraisals and you will see what it's worth. ;)
