Best Friends forever

I had the best night tonite. I had talked to a really good friend of mine and we have been friends since junior high. I will be turning 40 on Monday and she will also be turning 40 on Tues. I am exactly a day older than she is. Our other two friends that we know and hung out with since our childhood are also the same ages. I had made the comment to my friend that we used to wonder about being older but now since reality has set in, I told her that we are getting old. She had started laughing and said that we did mellow out with age. But it is great that we (the 4 of us ) had remained friends for over 20 years. We all live in different places but still keep in touch.

Its nice to keep in touch with old friends isnt it? In Jan this year eleven old school classmates met at my house and many of us were meeting after 45 years. We all had a great time reminiscing about our school days and telling each other what we did in the long period inbetween. We have promised to meet every year and keep in touch regularly.
