What will you do if you find 1$ on the floor?

Yesterday when I was doing some shopping with my friend, I noticed a currency note on the floor.We enquired those standing nearby if it was theirs. But nobody claimed it. So we dropped the currency in the charity donation box placed in the store. If you find an unclaimed currency note on the floor, what will you do? I know 1$ is a huge sum. Will you ever try to ask the neighbouring people if it was theirs..or will you put it in your pocket?

i would put it in my pocket, now if someone comes up to me and asks about this dollar then i would give it to them.

i will not ask if that was theirs as i feel that even if its not theirs some people might claim that its theirs ... better donate it to someone or keep it to yourself ... 90% of the time i might keep it to myself if i get one.

oh...sure the situation will become worse if many claims the money. Who would not like to get an extra money without any hard work? It is the natural tendency of some people to get the free money, whether it is theirs or not.Pocketing the money would be a risk free one.

i pick it up, and put it in my pocket, why not, it is only one dollar, but if someone ask me if i saw one dollar on the floor then i will give it. its not mine, but if no one claim for it, then it will be mine.

That is so nice. Yes, when nobody claims, then it becomes the finder's money.But will you feel guilty towards that after some time. May be the looser can come back again searching for the money. It can be very worthy for some people. But as far as nobody claims , it would be very nice indeed..

hi smilyn . well done . nice that no one claimed it. sometimes in a situation you may get more than one claimant for some thing like that. and then the situation becomes tricky. any one will do the same perhaps. and if you say about pocketing well there will be no harm . it is not that you are pocketing it out of need it may be for the convenience or else why should you take interest in that . many would even ignore to pick it up!!

yes,the situation may become worser when more than one claim the money..Just imagine how it would be when many people claim a dollar note..I would be very frustrated and feel why I found the note? There would not be any harm with pocketing the money.But I feel it will make me feel guilty.
