how often do you wash your dogs, once in a week

or twice or thrice or only once in a month?

I don't think it's healthy to wash your dog every week as you take off all of the dogs own protection it has for it's skin. Natural body fats etc, or however you may call it, that keep the skin nice and smooth and soft. Bathing a dog to much can also give it chips/flakes on it's skin and you should allways use a special dog shampoo. Some dogs get more regular baths because of skin conditions. Otherwise I guess once a month or 3 weeks would be fine.

we wash her at least once a week..but this past week she is in heat and they said that a dog should not be bathed when she is in heat..i do not know the rationale for this but we just did what they have said so as to avoid any danger that bathing may cause in her fertility..we are planning to bathe her at least twice a week 'coz she is having fleas and we really want to kill all of those nasty fleas so we will be bathing her twice a week.
