closing discussions

Hello alok. Discussions really don't get closed. You can still respond to discussions that are two years old if you want too. You can just stop commenting on then when ever you chose to. I check and comment on up to 30 response most of the time. But then I don't usually get more than 30 responses.

"A question here on closing discussions and best user. Do most users close thier discussions after a period of time and what average time can this be in terms of days?"-- -- There is no term here in mylot as "Closing Discussion", this is called the "resolving the discussions" this is nothing but when you start the discussion asking for a queary (Question), you will get some 4 or 5 responses for the said queary, out of which, you have to select any of the responses, which will satisfy your needs,(the exact answer for your questions). Thats all , nothing more than that. By doing this, your discussion will not go to anywhere.. it will still remain here in the forum itself. You can mark the best responses, once you got the exact responses for your discussion, there is no time frame for marking the best responses. If you get the correct response, in a day, you can mark it, if you are not get the good response even after a month, you can wait, there is no problem for that, In case if you get more than one good responses for your discusison, you have to select any one among them as "Best Responses" and mark the same, because mylot will allow you to mark only one discussion as the best response, out of the responses what ever you received for your discussion.. "do you check the discussions that you have started even after having selected your best response?"-- -- Ofcorse, defenately, i will check the discussion i have started, every day, whether it has been marked the best responses or not, i used to read all the comments what ever i have received for my discussions/comments for my responses. Even sometimes, i have received the Better responses, even after mark the "best response" for the disussion, but i cann't do anything for this situations. Nice discussion. What will you do at these situations.. you have not described..??
