nightmare on elm street

who likes these movies??!?!? i am a horror addict but i cant stand them.. i am forcing myself to watch "new nightmare" just so i can say i have seen one all the way through since i am always turning them off after rolling my eyes and getting irritated at the plot.. i hear of a lot of people liking them so am i alone on thinking that they suck?? am i missing something??

Do you mean the old Nightmare on Elm Street? Now that was a while ago since I have seen them. When they first came out they were good, scary. Now with all the other movies that have come out they don't seem so scary now like they did when they first came out. That is if your talking about the Old Freddy Crugger movies.

yeah the old ones.. "new nightmare" is the name to one of the sequels

that would be a horrible movie to have nightmares about or after considering the movie is about that

The first one is considered the good one, back when Freddy was more "serious" and going for scares. The series turned into a bunch of corny, hammy performances by Englund and all jokey.

ive seen pieces of the 1st one but always got irritated or bored and turned the channel.. but it seems like the better one when i hear about them all but still doesnt make me want to see it except for maybe being able to say i have seen it or something lol

I like all of them except for the Dream one. And I can't really remember the full title. The like the New Nightmare one, I don't know why. I just like Freddy in general because he's the ultimate bad guy you don't want to mess with. He can feed on your dreams; Jason can't do that. Not everyone likes certain things so I don't think you're missing anything in that sense.

maybe i dont care for him because he is too monster like and im not a monster type person.. i usually like anything horror though so im surprised i hate this series

i used to watch horror movies but no more ,not only are they getting more grafic more and more wierd in the story line and more gory then the last. i work late at night when its dark on my own lots of noise lol plus i believe in spirits so i try to watch pleasent programs so my mind doesn't see someone in a dark area with a chain-saw, but ruther a large bunnie dressed in a tutu

i enjoy them. I don't really watch them to get scared. I just love robert england.

i dont really know anything that robert england does or at least i dont think i do so its not like that would draw me to it.. i just kept hearing how it was everyones favorite growing up so i was curious and i just dont get them but oh well..
