Would it be in poor taste?

Ok I have 5 kids. But my oldest two are with my soon to be sometime ex-husband. I just found out yesterday that Jesse's mom passed on the 23rd of june. I feel bad as he lived with her and she was young. But I have been trying to run and get an increase in my child support for my two kids with him but haven't due to various reasons. Reason #1 afraid he'd pull the same crap that he did before and didn't have to pay for about 7yrs, #2 I had a PFA against him and don't cheerish any interaction with him at all. There are more that are irrelevant but the last time he was evaluated for child support he didn't have a job so they said ok we'll start it with 100.00 for both children based on minimum wage which was 6.15 at the time Now it's up to 7.15 an hour and there has been no raise so I was going to go on monday when I actually had the time and oppurtunity since my other half works nights and is now home during the day so he can watch the kids while I go and do this. But do you think it would be in poor taste to go up monday and file for this? I asked a friend and she said no. I guess I just hate giving people bad news.

I don't think it's in poor taste to take care of yourself and your kids and that's what this amounts to.

HECK NO!! Not in poor taste at all because his kids need to be supported. How else are they going to eat if they're not supported by their father? The low down dirty dog needs to get off his lazy @ss and find a REAL job!!

I think you need to do what is best for your kids. One hundred dollars is nothing when it comes to raising two children. It isn't like he hasn't had ample time to find a job.
