I have asthma since I was 5 years old and my mom loves cats.Eventhough asthma runs in the family we still keep cats.We have a lot long time ago.I have names for all of them.Now that I'm 34y/o I own 2 persian cats..namely garfield and fifi.Mind you even my kids love cats.Anyway the rhinitis attacks me when im home.I sneeze a lot when im home.of course i clean the house,make sure that ill sweep the floor so that the hair of my cats will not be flying around the house like birds but i still sneeze.i love to kiss my cats also.how can i avoid such an adorable cats who wakes you up a minute before your alarm clock,how can you throw them out when they cost a lot.lol.well they are expensive.when i got sick and consulted a doctor one time,she told me that i shouldn't own a cat bec.i have an asthma.hardheaded you might think how can i avoid loving them.to be honest even at work they are with me...well not physically..lol.but their hair are all over my blouse or sometimes in my jacket even when i comb my hair i can see their furr on my comb or brush..sigh..as much as i want to get rid of them just to be healthy...i can't do it.i love them so much..probably its alright to sneeze..as long as i just have to miss sneezy at home and not at the office or else people will avoid me. lol ;p ...because i normally sneeze at home but if im at the office it stops.so i therefore conclude that im allergic to cats..hehehe

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ( Rhinitis is the medical term describing irritation and inflammation of some internal areas of the nose. The primary symptom of rhinitis is a runny nose. It is caused by chronic or acute inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose due to viruses, bacteria or irritants. The inflammation results in the generating of excessive amounts of mucus producing a runny nose, nasal congestion and post-nasal drip. According to recent studies completed in the United States, more than fifty million Americans are current sufferers. Rhinitis has also been found to adversely affect more than just the nose, throat, and eyes. It has been associated with sleeping problems, problems with the ears, and even been linked to learning problems.[1] Rhinitis is caused by an increase in histamine. This increase is likely caused by airborne allergens. These allergens may affect an individual's nose, throat, or eyes and cause an increase in fluid production within these areas. ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (1) Had to look up this term, even though I thought I understood your meaning. I had a feeling that I might have some degree of Rhinitis. It might be harder for people to respond if they are not immediately familiar with what Rhinitis really is. I believe that I have a degree of this allergic Rhinitis as my nose tends to get stuffy as I sleep. It clears up in the morning but first thing in the morning I tend to cough a bit and clear out some mucus. Not sure, I haven't been tested or anything. I'm not getting rid of my dog, however. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Various included footnotes: 1) Rhinitis, Wikipedia - ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhinitis ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
