classics, anyone?

It was raining gently the other night when I chanced upon an old movie just about to start on television. It was the movie The Count of Monte Cristo by the French classic author Alexander Dumas. It was the first time that I saw this movie from start to end, but it was in college years ago when I heard of it. It was a beautiful classic story of love and vengeance, of friendship and betrayal, of failure and success, of patience and perseverance. I fell in love with the character of Edmond Dantes who became Count Monte Cristo. These sort of classics for me are endlessly inspiring still in this age and time. Does anyone here in myLot enjoy classic movies too, like I do?

i've seen Monte Cristo too way back before, when i was still in college. and i also liked it. i like classic films too but only a few would stick into my memory. i like the Secret Garden, The Sound of Music, Princess Sarah (not the Tagalog version ^__^;;), and Little Women. yep, most of them are based on classic novels. they are really inspirational and they really made me cry except for The Sound of Music which made me sing.

Yes, I also enjoy classic movies. Nice to meet you! It's just too bad that I lost my cable connection, and my tv can now only receive two free channels - so my choices are very very limited, and therefore, I rarely switch it on now. I've also been trying to find a dvd of classic movies. :)
