How many candy bars can you buy with $1 US?

United States

I like the fact that we have a world-wide community here. It occurred to me that we are all being paid by myLot in US Dollars, but depending on where you are, it may be worth more or less to you than other users. So, for the sake of comparison, let's use candy bars as a standard. How many candy bars will one US Dollar buy where you live? (I'm not including what you can get on sale, just average retail price.) I can get candy bar for $.55, so my answer is 1.8 candy bars. How about where you live?

prob just 1 for a dollar. but if you go to china you the exchange rate is bout 8.5 so thats 8 yen for 1 us dollar. i think a candy bar is about 2 yen there. so about 4 chinese candy bars for 1 us dolar.

Very interesting. It's very interesting to hear what something sells for in another country.

Well $1 is about 50p in Englishm, so I could get between 1 and 10 depending what kind, because they range from 10p - 48p.

Thanks, yes, I can get them on sale for a cheaper price here too. I'm more interested in the value of the dollar in other countries. Like for example: how many candy bars will a dollar buy in India? My thought process is that depending on where you live (which country), you're getting more value from your myLot posts than in other countries.

depends on the bar itself.. they all cost the same in almost all normal stores.. u can get 1 for those that costs 1 $ u can get 2 for those like snickers and mars and stuff.. u can get 6! for the cheapppp candy thats locally made by a famous manifacture around here.. and it tastes very good.. but ofcourse its not as good as snickers and mars and umm all thosel.. but still good for its price..

You can get 1 king size candy bar for $0.99. There are usually deals and you can get about 3 regular size candy bars for a dollar. The 3 candy bars are usually a popular brand like m&m's and mars brand. I know at the grocery store you can get Nestle brand candy bars for like 4-5 of them for $1. By the way I live in Denver, Colorado.
