How to get rid of a tail-gater.

My preferred way is to start coasting. I used to be a fan of the brake-tap, but it's too easy to start road rage that way. And if the driver doing the tailgating is in any way associated with Law Enforcement, brake tapping might get you in trouble. Now, I'm talking about being tailgated when you're NOT playing "let's all stick to the posted limit" games. In other words, you're NOT on the passing lanes & not passing. But rather are in one of the non-passing lanes, and the jerk behind could just as easily pass you as stop tailgating. So as I coast down to way below what everyone else is doing in the lanes next to the one I'm in (no, not mine... don't accuse me of "owning" the lane") the jerk will sooner or later pass. I like to let him get a few cars ahead so he doesn't try to teach ME a lesson. Ha ha.

well if u're in the left lane and if someone comes up fast behind u, it's P.C. to move to the other lane so they could pass u up, that's something a lot of slow drivers don't know, but in the right lane that's there problem, it says slow drivers keep right!

Yep, I usually slow down, too. But I'm rarely tailgaited as I'm usually in the fast lanes. Ha, ha...
