What are your best shopping tips for getting the lowest prices?

Our Walmart doesn't do the double coupon deals. But they do price match. So I check all papers and see who has the best deal and then take it to the Walmart. They are good about price matching. But they won't price match the buy one get one free items. That saves me a lot of time driving around from store to store. Recently I signed up for the Walgreens email newsletter. Every Friday they have a big deal that you can only get if you are an email newsletter member. Last week, they sent me a link to a printable coupon for $5.00 off my total purchase, one day only. Do you have any special shopping tips for saving money online or offline? Do you have any links to big freebies? Please share. Thanks!

Walgreens has good deals from time to time, and if you sign up for their emails, they send you special coupons as well.

I will look at Walgreen's and sign up for there news letter. You are right about Walmart with price matching from othere stores. They won't do the buy one get one free though if another store has it. I have really considered and as soon as I get someone to take me to Walgreens I want to try out there pharmacy. I am a little tired of Walmart's pharmacy in plus a lot of the employees there act very rude at the Walmart in our town. It could be the way they are being treated though.

I have Kmart here seems nicer as well as Walgreens . So I go to both of these places as well as Winn Dixie to shop for grocery's. I guess due to the fact that when I worked at Walmart I was told that the customer always comes first. I always tried to go by this statement as much as I could.

Yes, it is unfortunate about the rude employees at Walmart. My husband does the shopping there and he can handle anyone. He's really used to dealing with the public and putting rude people in their place.

ALL of the Walmarts in my town have rude employees too. We have like a dozen or so Walmarts here and there, depends on how far you want to drive. Everyone I've been to it's been a nightmare! But due to the prices I will not shop elsewhere. I'd rather deal with rude people than spend more money.

Walmart has a price matching policy. But you have to take the sale papers from the other store and show the clerk. They don't price match on buy one get one free. At least not in our areas. But I have heard that they take Internet printed coupons as long as the bar code will scan and it says, Manufacturer coupon. That's what I hear. You might have to talk to their store manager.

I am a major collector of coupons. Sometimes the people in my building throw out coupon books filled with coupons to my favourite places. When this happens, I try to get all the ones I can out of the dry waste basket, so I can use them.

I personally buy alot of things at Aldi. They have alot of generic items, but their prices are generally the best around. I also have found some deals there on electric items and hanging baskets of flowers etc. Some of their stuff is junk, but some is great, you just have to know prices alittle. Their food items are good, and their produce is sometimes better than what is in the main line stores.

I think writing down a shopping list before going to shopping is very helpful. At least it's likely that you won't buy any unnecessary products when you are in the supermarket. Besides, if you bring the cash rather than credit card, then it's not possible you will spend more than your budget. I love China

tips - The best tip that I have about shopping tips is to get a discount card from the supermarkets.
ello dear beauty queen. The best tip that I have about shopping tips is to get a discount card from the supermarkets. Here in our local supermarkets, we pay a little money from 1.5 to 3 dollars for a discount card from different supermarkets, the price of the discount cards may vary based on the supermarkets. Every year we have to renew the card, with which we can get something at a little bit lower price. Also the supermarkets sometimes have some promotion activities on some certain days, when the goods are cheaper than usual...Thanks for your discussion. Good day.

That is really great! Big stores are competing aggressively with each other and the big winner can only be the consuming public. This is truly wonderful.

If there is something I really want but can find it cheaper elsewhere but can't be bothered driving to the otherside of town, I take that catalogue to the store I prefer to buy from & ask if they can match it. Some stores ill even beat the price by about 10%

If I am shopping offline and it is nearing sale season then I put off the purchase until the sales have begun and then get it for cheaper a couple of weeks later. Online I tend to buy stuff through Quidco and other cashback schemes so that I get money back on my purchases, so I am not really spending as much in the long term.

Wow thanks for sharing this information with us. I learned something from you. Maybe I'll try the walmart thing next time. Most of the time I just surd the net and canvass prices then go with the lowest priced store. Also, when I don't really need the item, I don't buy it anymore. But if it's on sale or if there's a coupon for it then I'll be more inclined to buy it right away.

I do half my shopping at Sam's Club, and half at Walmart. I'm not huge on coupons, and half the time I forget to use them anyways. Most other stores are not convenient for me, so I don't bother to go to them regardless of the deals. I get a lot of free samples and coupons from www.mysavings.com. Guess I'm not big on the tips... but this works well for me and my family.
