What is ethical and not ethical in business or to earn money?
Examples of unethical things in business
Layoffs boost the bottom line, but they take away the livelihood of thousands.
Offshoring increases wealth but it takes away thousands of American jobs in IT and other fields.
The movement of industrial jobs overseas in the 70s *may have* exacerbated problems in American inner cities, increasing poverty and violence. But yet it created wealth for other parts of society.
This question is not specificaly about layoffs, or offshoring, I'm just providing those as examples

I don't own a huge company but I can hear you ideas and frustration. Let me throw something at you though: dependency. What if we Americans were not depended on job that made the big bucks. What if we were ideas makers instead of idea followers. I know it would be great to have great jobs but big business always thinks about their stockholders first. It is just a fact. As a strong person I know I can never depend on a company to give me what my family needs. I need to get it on my own. Plain and simple. Wouldn't life be easier if we all had the same mentality?
