do you have a PSP in your home?

my b/f is thinking about getting one so he can take to work with him. and he's got this one message board that he goes to a lot. it's kinda like just a plain message board, with no kind of advanced things running on it. can he play on the PSP at the message board? Can he surf to the message board? and can he talk to me through his PSP to my computer? He says that he wants to know all about the PSP before he buy it, and it might not support the things that he wants to go to play with. Please help my b/f out on answer. He buy it this week sometime and he need to know an answer as soon as possible so he can decide whether or not to get it or not. he wants to play on the Playstation portable to talk on the message board, and plus talk to me on my computer maybe through an instant message thing or some sort. what do you think? he can do, or no can do? please tell me.
