flaming alaska!!!

maybe youve been wondering about what is all about...flaming alaska is a food or a dessert which i had seen from one of my favorite local tv shows and one of the restaurants in boracay is serving it ...its main ingredients were chiffon,meringue,nuts,berries and ice cream of course on top of it is a cream/icing...and most of all the surface of it is flaming!!! my gosh how can i eat such kind of food? i heard its famous somewhere in France? or europe...have you tasted this kind of dessert?

hi vanities they have this in most of our better restaurants, but its really simple to make if you have the recipe, my mom used to make them for us a lot but she did not do the flame bit of course, it is reallydelicious too. Ice cream in the center surronded by a crust of baked eggwhite merimngue which is just in the hot oven for a few minutes. they are very easy to eat and most delicious.
