Just now, I heard my cat crying and I couldn't find her anywhere!

Just a couple minutes ago, I heard my cat crying somewhere in the house. And, I ran from room to room searching for her. She sounded very far away as if she'd been shut into a closet. Then I found her curled up asleep in a big chair in the livingroom. She was not even awake. I guess it must have been one of the outdoor cats. I was really scared. She sounded as if she'd been hurt. I guess the outdoor cats must be fighting again. Or, perhaps one of the outdoor mama cats gave birth to a new litter of kittens. I'm sure we will find out tomorrow. Do you ever get worried when your cat cries and you can't find her? What's the last scary thing that happened to your cat?

When you get your first apartment, run out and buy or adopt a cat as a "gift" to yourself. It's a really good investment. Cause they keep you company while watching TV and cats don't freak out when you leave to go to class or your job. A dog will often freak out and tear up the couch cushions when you leave. They are high maintenance. Cats are cool! Thanks for posting. Be well! Have a beautiful day

I can imagine how you felt I have been there before! Our cat is very fluffy and has a very bushy tail and many years ago my son found some blood where she had been sitting on the kitchen floor tiles. We took her straight to the vet and he had a good check of her and couldn't find where the blood was coming from until he moved her tail a certain way and all of a sudden the table was awash with blood. There was a cut in her tail which had cut the artery and all the blood was pumping into her fur! She needed an emergency op and was very lucky to survive - but here she is 10 years old and full of arrogance - all thanks to my son spotting that blood as quickly as he did. Still to this day we are not sure whether she was bitten or caught her tail in barbed wire but whatever she gave us all a scare that day! xxx

Oh, Mummymo! That is such a sad story. And I'm sure you all were very worried. I am happy to hear that it turned out alright.

Mine wasnt my cat it was Missy the raccoon we heard her crying and turns out she was in my dryer vent. We had to rip it apart and get her out. She looked like a ghost all the lint on her. She could barely breath by the time i got to her. Shes good now thankfully.

He was hit by a car - a week ago and left for dead!
The last scary thing that happened to one of my nine cats is one getting hit by a car. He's doing much better now Thank God and Thank God that he survived it at all!! My chihuahua Peanut will go nuts if he hears a couple of cats fighting which alerts me to go after them and so does he when I give him the go to do it! lol He goes after them and makes them run away from each other and it tells me which ones it was that was fighting so I can possibly bring one inside. lol I don't know what I'd do without my Peanut!! He's been a very valuable dog to me because of my hearing. I'm legally deaf and have no sense of direction so he helps me to "hear" what's going on around me. He'll be 10 in July so he's getting up in age which scares me batty but hopefully I can train the two mixed breeds that we have to do the same thing. I think we can in due time.

Cats sure can make some horrible noises sometimes can't they? I swear sometimes the noises I hear coming out of them scares me. It was horrible when I was living in the city and there were stray cats all over the place. Especially when there were a few in heat. UGH! One thing that I sure do not miss about the city.

Those cats in heat do make a big bad noise! We have several outdoor cats and they need a trip to the vet! Soon!
